A Fun Gift Guide For Men

Just this morning my husband said to me, “Man, I wish I had an ugly Christmas sweater to wear to work. I guess I’ll have to use this for now.”

Then he pointed to the ugly, (and I do mean ugly) Christmas t-shirt he was wearing that he had gotten last year for Christmas from his parents or maybe mine. It is a festive green and has a picture of Yoda wearing a santa hat saying “Elf I am not.” It sure made me laugh to hear him wishing for something uglier than that. Then I remembered that I had made this gift guide and hadn’t even published it yet! Good thing he jogged my memory.

Our family has had a birthday almost every week for the last 3 weeks! Add Christmas, New Years and another 2 birthdays to that- and whew. It’s hard to focus. But anyways, I did get to make a fun gift guide of funny, and ugly Christmas stuff for men (but honestly it could be given to a woman also). I could have added more, but I ran out of room and just got exhausted.

I’ve seen other peoples gift guides, and they are so well rounded. But my husband and the other men in my life, (brothers, sons, dads, uncles) they don’t want tools much. Or if they do want tools and electronics, they want or need stuff that is WAY out of my budget. So I went with stuff that was all under $20. Most of it is under $15, but a few things may have shipping. It still will come under $20.

This may sound weird, but it’s actually in my heart to make a super ugly, super funny Christmas wardrobe for everyone in my family. It makes me happy inside to think about it. Why? I don’t know. God told me this last year, that I need to have more fun. And while I have made some progress, I still find myself living a “to do list” kind of life. So…I hope I’m not being sacrilegious. I was just thinking ugly Christmas sweater thoughts. I know my husband is secretly hoping that I’m getting him a super super funny one that he can show off at work. So Here’s the list:

9. Fun Christmas suspenders and bow tie set.
10. Merry Christmas Ya Filthy Animal hat- from the classic Christmas movie Home Alone.
11. Do It Yourself Ugly Christmas Tie Craft kit!
12. Festive Christmas Pajamas.
13. Red Santa Ugly Christmas Sweater.
