Saving Your Gallbladder…A Simple, Quick Gallbladder Tip!

A Simple Quick Gallbladder Relief tip.

I know I can’t be the only one that deals with an angry gallbladder during times of high stress and celebrations. So I dedicate this post to those who may be regretting the heavy whipping cream they put in their coffee, and on their pie…along with the other fatty traditional holiday food.

Normally a gallbladder attack will occur at night in the wee hours of the morning, where it wakes you up with a horrible belly ache that gets increasingly worse, and makes you want to run to the bathroom. While hot showers and laying on your right side really do help; and I still don’t neglect those, there is an almost instant cure. I nicknamed it, “The Concoction.” It’s a simple drink that tastes terrible, but makes the pain go away. In my worst experience it took 30 minutes for the pain to be completely gone. At best it will work immediately.

Here’s the recipe:

1/2 cup water

3 Tablespoons of Vinegar (Apple Cider Vinegar is best- but any will do in a pinch)

1/4 Teaspoon baking soda (add the baking soda a little bit at a time so it doesn’t erupt over the side of the cup.)

Mix 1/2 cup water with 3 TBSP. vinegar & 1/4 tsp. Baking soda. I get immediate relief after drinking it.

It tastes like vinegar club soda- yummy. Just joking, it tastes terrible, but in the throes of a gallbladder attack you will do whatever you need to. Right?

My husband was the first to make this for me. He found the recipe online for me when I had one of my first gallbladder attacks back when I was pregnant with my 5th child. I was pretty scared at the time, and so thankful that my husband found one of the best cures for it.

Lately it had been a while since I’d had any issues, but nowadays I’m better equipt to handle a gallbladder attack. Even so, I’ve been having them quite a bit this week.

The last couple days I’ve been having gallbladder attacks in the middle of the day, and night. But I always just make a concoction and the pain leaves.

I hope this helps someone, I’m just paying it forward because my husband got the recipe online, and I will forever bless the person that took the time to post such a simple, quick gallbladder tip.

Please note, I’m not a healthcare practitioner or professional. Baking soda has a high sodium content, so you should only use the small amount called for in the recipe. Ingesting even as much as 2 teaspoons of baking soda per day can be dangerous.
