So this summer We’ve been having so much fun with Water Guns and Sidewalk Chalk! It all started when my oldest son spent some of his chore money he earned helping his grandparents out… on a gigantic water gun. It came with a smaller model also. But needless to say…the rest of us were left needing some protection ourselves. So my husband finally went and got us some backup at the local Dollar Store.
I have to admit, I kept dry most of the time using empty threats and silently shaking my head “no” when anyone approached me. I was the driest of them all. Until of course, the 4th of July. For some reason, it was a “Free 4 All” literally, and I, being fair of course, grabbed the biggest of the water guns and soaked everyone in my path. I also got drenched, but it was very very fun. In my mind I’m plotting when to get a gigantic water gun of my own. The children all thanked me profusely for playing with them and unfairly shooting the biggest water gun point blank at them pretty much without mercy.
The only barriers I had to get past were worrying what my hair and makeup looked like constantly. Why did I wear mascara again? So dumb. My face has been breaking out a lot lately so I don’t like going without makeup, especially in public. But in a water gun fight…what can you do about it? Except get the biggest gun…haha!
A couple weeks before this we all had a blast doing sidewalk chalk artwork outside. Everyone from my 12 year old on down to even the 19 month old loved it! And just this week we got out our little bubble blowing toys and had a Bubble Party!
